Come watch "How Do I Look"
at the African Diaspora Film Festival
 

Dear Friends,

I am happy to announce that my first
documentary, How Do I Look, which is 
about all the wonderful talent in the Harlem
"Ball" community, will be screened during
the African Diaspora Film Festival on
December 1 in New York City.  Kevin Omni,
one of the assistant directors for How Do I Look,
will appear with me after the screening for a
special Q&A session.

Because of coincidence, the screening of
my film is scheduled to take place on
World AIDS Day. When I realized this,
I was grateful, because my film contains
positive messages that counteract so much
negativity and guilt associated with HIV
and AIDS.  One of the highlights of my film
is when I interviewed Luna Khan. Luna
was courageous to speak out about HIV
issues that face the "Ball" community.

This educational and entertaining film, now
available on DVD, also explores the history of
the "Vogue" dance style with acclaimed
dancers Willi Ninja and Jose Xtravaganza.
The famed columnist Michael Musto makes a
special appearance in the documentary.
